“I took a shared ride for an hour-long commute from Chicago to Schaumburg late at night 1 AM to 2 AM…it saved me a ton of money and literally more and more people piled in at different points…it felt like a party bus!” says Diana from Chicago, IL.

Uber says, “Since pausing shared rides in 2020, our teams have been working tirelessly to revamp the experience.”

You don’t have to worry about being late when choosing UberX Share. Riders will only be matched with other riders going in the same direction. UberX Share rides will arrive 8 minutes or less than an UberX ride.

Good for the environment

UberX Share is not only good for your bank account but also helps with sustainability for riders, drivers, and cities. Fewer cars will be on the road which results in fewer emissions per passenger.

One-third of shared ride users say they choose to carpool to help the environment.
