Virtuoso recently had its 34th annual travel week, where they declared the best hotel of 2022.
The invite-only network, made up of travel advisors specializing in luxury, had over 20,000 professionals in 50 countries vote on the winner.
Best hotel of 2022
This award is one of the most highly anticipated awards given out during Virtuoso Travel Week. Gleneagles Hotel in Scotland won this year because of its excellence in the luxury hospitality sector.

According to Virtuoso, “For nearly a century, this historic resort has served as one of Scotland’s top sporting estates, offering outdoor pursuits like golf, fishing, falconry, and more — plus Michelin-starred cuisine, an award-winning spa, and a robust social calendar.”

Five-star luxury in Scotland
The hotel first opened in 1924 and had 205 bedrooms and 28 suites.
