Thrill-seekers have a new reason to visit the “Waterpark Capital of the World.” The tallest waterslide in America, The Fall, stands 145 feet tall and is now open at Mt. Olympus Water and Theme Park in Wisconsin Dells. Unveiled over Memorial Day weekend, The Fall is the centerpiece of the Rise of Icarus, a towering structure with five distinct waterslides. The Rise of Icarus promises heart-pounding speeds and dizzying twists, especially on “The Fall, where riders can reach up to 30 mph in 20 seconds.

What to Expect at The Tallest Waterslide in America

The Rise of Icarus doesn’t just house The Fall; it offers four additional slides that start from a 60-foot platform. Among these is The Drop, a straight, steep slide providing a rush similar to its taller counterpart. These attractions appeal to many visitors, from those seeking extreme thrills to families looking for fun. The new structure is part of a broader expansion at Mt. Olympus. An upgraded outdoor deck area will have more umbrellas and lounge chairs. Plus, the park is introducing a redesigned concession area with air-conditioned cabanas as one of the new features.

These upgrades aim to provide guests with a more comfortable and enjoyable experience. In addition to The Rise of Icarus, Mt. Olympus will launch the Icaria Splash ‘n Slide kids’ area on July 4. This 12,000-square-foot play space will feature ten slides and a wading pool. It will also have various interactive water features, ensuring that younger visitors have plenty to enjoy.

A Destination for All Seasons

With its indoor waterpark, Mt. Olympus provides entertainment all year round, not only during the summer. Staying at one of the resorts at Mt. Olympus Water and Theme Park — like Hotel Rome — entitles guests to free admission to the park. For day visitors, tickets are available online for $45 or at the gate for $50.
