Here's Why Turks And Caicos Should Be Your Next Travel Destination
Turks and Caicos is an island southeast of Miami and near the Bahamas, Cuba, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic.
Although it’s not as well-known as it’s surrounding islands, it’s filled with gorgeous beaches, fresh seafood, and adventure.
Turks and Caicos is super accessible for those living in the United States. It takes less than two hours by plane from Miami and less than four hours if you’re traveling from Chicago or New York City.
Turks and Caicos is also an ideal destination because their form of currency is also the U.S. dollar. Additionally, you won’t need to bring adapters because they use the same power outlets as we do in the U.S.
Your days can be spent at one of their white-sand beaches, like Grace Bay, Leeward Beach on Providenciales, and Governer’s Beach on Grand Turk. Observe the vibrant-colored sea life like angelfish, trumpetfish, parrotfish, sea turtles and more. Turks and Caicos houses one of the largest barrier reefs in the world. Boat tours are available for more access to the reefs as well as an opportunity to swim with stingrays.
If you crave adventure, you can windsurf, paddle-board, visit a cave on Middle Caicos or even hike the Crossing Place Trail which offers spectacular views of the limestone cliffs of Mudjin Harbor.
Dine on seafood caught the same day at Provo’s Thursday night Fish Fry or at a high-end luxury restaurant
One of the best things about Turks and Caicos is you can avoid crowded tourists here.
You will be surrounded by friendly locals, a laid-back vibe and uncrowded beaches.
