This holy city offers spiritual retreats known as ashrams. The purpose of ashrams are to go back to the basics to become independent from regular habits, patterns, and indulgences.

Keep in mind that if you plan to visit Rishikesh, the city is a vegetarian city by law, as well as an alcohol-free city.

Rishikesh has also banned use of plastics bags by shopkeepers and vendors. 

Cordoba, Spain

A visit to Córdoba will make you a quite a believer in peace and the reason has to do with a piece of architecture that defines peaceful tolerance.

Cordoba is located in the southern part of Spain where a beautiful temple known as La Mezquita, which translates to The Mosque, lies. 

The Mosque started out as a place of worship for the Muslims during the Islamic conquest but a Catholic cathedral was built inside during after Christians reclaimed it.

Adam’s Peak, Sri Lanka

If you’re looking to make a spiritual transformation, then consider climbing the Adam’s Peak in Sri Lanka. 

As a rule, explorers start going up the “Sri Pada” at night to encounter the grand sunrise.

The trail goes up to around 2,244 meters of steep steps and involves a scenic view of tea bequests, long drops, and holy places, and more.
