15 Photos Of Black Folks Showing Up And Showing Out At the 2019 Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic
One thing is for sure, when you give Black folks a reason to dress up and put on our best, we don’t disappoint.
This past weekend, thousands set out to New Jersey’s Liberty State Park for the 12th annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic. While the event is an actual polo match, it is actually a time for people to pull out their best and brightest outfits for the day.
It is also the ultimate photoshoot for any and everyone looking to participate.
The French champagne brand hosts the event and invites the best of the best from Hollywood to attend as well. While most of the major publications only focus on what the stars wore, we want to focus on what our people did. In other words, they did not come to play with us
Check out some of our favorite looks and photos from the event. They have definitely inspired our summer wardrobes.
While we would love to post every single fly photo we saw, we had to pick out a few.
This Louisiana native, @aceboom_boom, came through dripping with the perfect color scheme to match the branding. Her IG caption read “Life isn’t perfect, but your picture can be.”
Davien Anderson (pictured in blue) and his crew came through with bold colors that highlighted their melanin well.
This attendee, @nik6725, kept it classy in this baby blue fringe dress. The hair and accessories take things to the next level.
This pair, @tracijdeshazor and @thejspotphoto, brought out the pastel vibes. But let’s get into this hat. Yes ma’am!
North Carolina A&T alum, @shakeetamarie, kept it cute in all white. That dress is everything.
This pair complemented each other well. His suit is tailored to perfection while her whole look is just, we don’t have the words.
The picture lets us know that @jslym and all the other men did not come to play either. This photo gives us all the summer vibes.
Chess over checkers or something like that. This teal blazer dress on @stylingwithkls is fly.
Any event where you can stunt with your crew is always a move. Check out @undeniablyroshi and her friends being dope and unbothered.
These five kings are a reminder that Black men kill the suit game on any occasion. Shoutout to @drcollinwill and his boys for coming correct.
Black men can do no wrong when it comes to the tailored suit game, don’t debate us.
Sis was out there looking like straight royalty. We see you fam!
Our good sis knew she did that! This white suit against that skin is life.
Nothing says summertime like florals and bold colors. This crew perfectly executed both.
Last but not least, this hat. Our girl is fly in yellow, but that hat is the cherry on top.
