The undeniable bond between cannabis and music has long been recognized. Now, Montclair, New Jersey is preparing to showcase this harmonious connection. The owners of Kush Connection recently announced that the Montclair Town Council is greenlighting two additional recreational marijuana dispensaries. Both establishments will still need to obtain a conditional use permit from the Montclair Planning Board, as reported by Patch.

The first dispensary, Night Owl, will call the former DLV Lounge site home, located at 300 Bloomfield Avenue in Montclair. The second, Kush Connection, will be situated at 135 Valley Road, across from Tierney’s Tavern. The Kushner family, proud Montclair residents for over three decades, will own and operate Kush Connection.

Inside New Jersey’s Kush Connection

Jake Kushner, recently sharing insights with Patch, outlined the next steps. “While we still have to navigate the zoning process, once that is successfully completed, we will possess all the necessary requirements to undergo a final inspection by the state. Following that, we anticipate commencing operations, most likely around the holiday season of 2023 or early 2024 at the latest.”

Kush Connection will cater to recreational adult users, offering an array of top-notch cannabis products including flowers, edibles, and concentrates. The company proudly emphasizes that its products will be locally sourced from cultivators and manufacturers based in New Jersey. Additionally, rigorous testing procedures will be implemented to ensure both quality and safety.

Kush Connection also aims to be an educational resource for customers wanting to learn about cannabis and its potential benefits. The dispensary plans to host regular events and workshops to keep customers informed and up to date on industry developments.

Steve and Patty Steele Kushner, drawing from their careers in radio, intend to infuse their themed recreational dispensary with character and a sense of community. Steve Kusher’s vision is to create an inclusive environment, paying homage to their shared passions for music, art, and community.

“We are thrilled to bring Kush Connection to Montclair and provide our customers with access to high-quality cannabis products, all while celebrating the exceptional qualities that make Montclair so remarkable,” shared Patty Kushner.

As Montclair welcomes these new additions to its cannabis landscape, the connection between good buds, groovy jams, and community-building is poised to flourish. Kush Connection aspires to become a destination that not only delivers exceptional cannabis products but also fosters a sense of togetherness within the town.
