Disney is looking ahead to 2022 with some major changes. The company announced the end of its popular Magical Express service for airport transportation starting Jan. 1, 2022, stating that “vacationers have more options to choose from than ever for transportation, including ride-share services that save time and offer more flexibility to go where they want, when they want.”
The shuttle provides free transportation from the Orlando International Airport to Disney Resort Hotels and will continue to run through Dec. 31. Complimentary transportation within the Walt Disney World Resort, as well as to and from all four theme parks, will still be available to Disney Resort hotel guests.
As part of their 50th anniversary celebration later this year, Disney Resort hotel guests and guests of select hotels will also be granted 30-minute early entry to any theme park, daily. Additionally, the Park Hopper is once again an option for guests who want to enjoy multiple parks within a day.
Guests still need valid admission and a park reservation made via the Disney Park Pass system for entry. Policies have been updated to adhere to health and safety measures.
Disney is also offering a special which tacks two extra days onto a customer’s ticket, with the purchase of a 4-night/3-day room and ticket package at select Disney Resort hotels for arrivals most nights Jan. 8 through Sept. 25, 2021.
