We don’t know about you, but outdoor dining immediately puts us in vacation mode, and that’s why we curated a list featuring seven of London’s best Black-owned restaurants with outdoor seating.
And it’s not just because eating outdoors is relatively safer when done right, but also because it feels good to vibe with loved ones with a breeze behind you and beautiful city scenery.

1. Tribe Cafe

Tribe Cafe was started to provide good food and good vibes to the community. Launched in 2019 and located in the Streatham neighborhood, Tribe is a vegan café that works to make vegan food enjoyable for everyone.
Surrounded by plants and colorful benches, the outside vibe is all the positive energy you need.
2. Duo London

Duo London is one of the most creative and aesthetically vibrant venues in London. It’s a must-visit that features baby blue and pink hues, murals, neon signs and so much more that brings pure joy.
According to Black Eats London, it’s Black-owned with two locations between the Shoreditch and Camden neighborhoods. What’s also a plus? Well, it turns out, you can make a reservation for outside without FOMO on the inside.

3. Juice Junkiez

Juice Junkies is your go-to for yummy juices, desserts, cocktails, and food as the founder has changed the game when it comes to making healthier options exciting.
The juice bar is located in Camden Market Buck Street and Camden Market Hawley Wharf.
Both locations offer outside seating options where you can bring a book, people watch or hang with friends.
4. Rudie's Jerk Shack

Rudie’s Jerk Shack is a Jamaican restaurant that’s famous for its real jerk sauce and rum punch. There are a few locations throughout the city with outdoor seating, including Boxpark Shoreditch and Canary Wharf, but our favorites are Brixton Village and Mercato Metropolitano.
Mercato Metropolitano has an outside jerk shack that’s a great spot to meet people or bring the crew.
5. Prince of Peckham

Prince of Peckham is one of our favorite success stories, as it’s a pub for South London created by South London.
It’s a modern, youthful approach to the city’s famous pub culture. Owned by Clement Ogbonnaya, the South London pub was inspired by a Black 90s British sitcom called Desmond’s. The eatery prides itself on being an inclusive establishment where guests can enjoy jerk dishes, creative cocktails, and of course, beer.
6. Casa Mofongo Bar Restaurant

Chef Enyer De Los Santos is the brains behind the Dominican restaurant Casa Mofongo Bar in Brixton.
It’s one of the hottest places in town for Caribbean-inspired dishes, and of course, to indulge in mofongo: a dish made up of mashed green plantain with garlic, that’s rolled into a ball and served with different meats and a creamy garlic broth.
7. Lobster & Grill

Lobster & Grill was founded by Michelin chef Malcolm John. It’s a casual dining restaurant offering some of London’s best seafood.
Not a seafood fan? No problem. The menu features steak, chicken, and vegetarian options.
