Founded in 2008, Le Petit Marche started as a market with fresh breads, cheeses, salads and other locally made and sourced meals. Now, this Black-owned business has quickly turned into Kirkwood’s most popular breakfast and brunch spot.

The “little market” features traditional Southern dishes, healthy new aged dishes and then fusions of both.

Owner Marchet Sparks dedicates the restaurant to her parents, who you may occasionally see helping out with customers and telling stories. Marchet started with Le Petit Marche, but she’s now on her way to building a franchise of brunch locations all around Atlanta.

After visiting Le Petit Marche, we wanted to offer a few tips to help you decide what to try.

Tips for brunch: You must try the salmon cake and grits bowl The French toast sandwich and griddle cakes are the most ordered items on the menu.

Tips for dessert: Try the coconut cake, caramel cake and homemade beignets is a crowd favorite.
