Maroma, A Belmond Hotel: Riviera Maya, Mexico

Mexico’s Caribbean is a top destination for many travelers so Maroma, A Belmond hotel is something to get excited about. The best part is the hotel is due to honor Mexican tradition through the design of the resort. Sofitel Legend Casco Viejo Panama: Panana City

Another Travel Noire favorite destination, Panama City has some exciting news for travelers in 2023. This elegant hotel stay is in Casco Viejo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site bursting with culture and highly popular among Black travelers and Black expats. Described as the place where ‘heritage meets sophistication’, the Sofitel Legend Panama is the exclusive private oasis in a surprising city. It will be available from January 2023. 

The Homestead: Nambiti, South Africa

A 12-suite lodge ideally located on the Nambiti reserve in South Africa will be the region’s newest hotel opening. The Homestead is an eco-conscious lodge described as a luxury property with options for safari game drives, wildlife photography, a spa with locally produced products, and hiking. The Homestead is embedded into the natural environment and perfect for experiencing African-inspired food created with organic, locally sourced ingredients and indulging in the surrounding landscape. 

Atlantis: Paradise Island, Bahamas

Atlantis in the Bahamas will open in early 2023, Chef Michael White will open Paranza at The Cove. This will bring Italian coastal cuisine to the Caribbean and bring the glamor of having a resort with three Michelin-starred chefs on staff. The Atlantis Casino is also undergoing a refresh alongside renovations to suites in the Royal Tower. These renovations are due to be completed in 2023. 

Mii Amo: Sedona, Arizona

Mii Amo is a destination spa-hotel in Sedona, Arizona which is set to relaunch after a two-year closure. The hotel has undergone a $40 million renovation and expansion. Following the renovations, the hotel will hold a 40% larger spa with enhanced treatments, 16 fully renovated rooms, and suites, a new fitness studio, and a reflexology path. The intimate, secluded and artfully designed suites are signature to Mii Amo. Mii Amo is taking reservations early 2023.
