As you can see, Florida remains a favorite domestic destination during this time, as it has in previous years too. Many families seek to head to Florida because it has so much to offer. Whether it’s the Disney parks, Universal Studios, or the various beach towns, families can make the most out of their time away without having to leave the country.
This doesn’t mean that Americans aren’t seeking international destinations. With an increase in low-cost carriers and airlines offering their basic economy fares, travelers are heading to more international vacation spots. According to the list, Cancun takes the top spot for travelers. Cancun comes complete with beautiful beaches, nightlife, all-inclusive resorts, and loads of excursions. This is perfect for single travelers and even couples.

“With the rise of international low-cost carriers, traveling to a number of major cities in Europe has become very affordable compared to past years,” said Tom Spagnola, SVP of Supplier Relations at CheapOair in a statement.
“In some cases, taking a family trip to England or France in March — the off-season for those destinations — may end up being cheaper than a trip to one of the tropical destinations.”
