There’s a new pop-up restaurant to hit the New York City scene, and the theme is from the 1980s sitcom “The Golden Girls.” The Golden Girls Kitchen will be open from Wednesdays to Sundays, featuring a drag brunch on Sundays from January to March.

Tickets to the restaurant start at $40 and include a main entree and a slice of cheesecake. You can also choose a dessert named after the sitcom’s characters. Patrons can also take pictures in the restaurant within identical installations from the show, such as Blanche’s banana leaf-wallpapered bedroom, the Rusty Anchor bar, or the Shady Pines Retirement home.

Bucket List Pop Ups

The Golden Girls Kitchen is located at 19 Fulton Street near the South Street Seaport in New York City. The pop-up was developed by the company New York Bucket List, which is known for previous pop-ups themed after “Saved By the Bell” and Beverly Hills 90210.

In case you can’t make it to New York and you’re still looking for the experience, no need to worry. Bucket List is expected to tour The Golden Girls Kitchen in Miami, San Francisco, and Chicago. Andy Lederman, CEO of Bucket List, says there are more opportunities for pop culture-inspired dining experiences.

“This is just the beginning,” said Lederman. “We plan to bring many more of our original and partner experiences (working alongside the best event producers) to life across the country very soon.”
