Last week Spirit Airlines staff made a clear decision that they did not want to be on the next Flavor Of Love. Recording artist and reality show pioneer Flavor Flav was denied boarding on a Spirit flight to Detroit from Las Vegas which he claims was due to seats being oversold.

Flavor Flav’s handlers mentioned the Public Enemy star usually waits till the end to board flights because fans hold up the boarding process when they try to take pictures with him. Sources who were at the airport claim Flavor Flav was preoccupied with his laptop and was late to get to the door.

Fight The Power

According to the footage obtained by TMZ, Flav and two other passengers were denied getting on board, standing at the check-in desk, and arguing with the agents. You can hear the Spirit employees firmly tell Flav he did not get to the gate on time. Flav started yelling profanities at the agents and was immediately asked to leave the desk. Flavor Flav then vented to Twitter about the incident that left him stuck in Las Vegas.

Spirit Airlines caught wind of the issue via Twitter and investigated the incident between Flav and the Spirit employees. Spirit Airlines customer service responded to Flav and asked that he would send them a direct message. Flav then confirmed on Twitter that Spirit resolved the issue and gave him a lifetime Gold Member.

The benefits include a free one–time change, first checked and carry-on bag free, complimentary seat selection at booking, and complimentary beverages and snacks.
