Travelers visiting Addis Ababa, Ethiopia now have a new five-star accommodation option available to them. Addis Ababa Bole Airport has a new hotel courtesy of Ethiopian Airlines Group.
According to Travel Weekly, Ethiopian Skylight In-Terminal Hotel is accessible via Departure Terminal 2, a $363 million terminal that opened in 2019. The hotel is situated within walking distance of the departure gate.
The building:
Construction of the new hotel began in December 2020 and two phases will be required for its toral completion. With phase one having already been completed, 41 rooms are available for booking.
“All rooms and suites offer a host of contemporary design features and essential comforts, including full Wi-Fi connectivity,” it states on the hotel’s website.
Actually, way more than a building!
Once the second phase is complete, the hotel will have an additional 56 rooms, as well as a restaurant and other features. This phase is scheduled to be finished by October.
Among the hotel’s seven different room categories are 53 double rooms, 30 twin rooms, 12 interconnected rooms, junior suites, executive suites, and a premium room to accommodate disabled guests.
Catering to overnight passengers
The airline said the hotel will cater to “passengers and crews who do not wish to leave the airport for any reason, enabling the airport to provide the most convenient travel experience possible and making it preferable for seamless connections.”
