In Accra, Ghana, you will find the largest community-scaled townhouse development in Ghana.

Ayi Mensah Park is a real estate development project that collaborates with Black-owned businesses in Ghana and the United States.

Kofi Anku, shareholder and board member of Ayi Mensah Park, told the founder of Shoppe Black that the vision was brought to life with help from BlackIvy.

“When I look at the landscape, the opportunities that we have here in Ghana and the kind of resources that Black Americans, specifically, have access to …the power of that collaboration I think is extraordinaire.

The community offers beautiful 1,2,3, and 4-bedroom homes constructed blending modern American architecture with timeless Ghanaian features. The community features amenities such as hiking trails in the nearby Aburi Mountains,  a pool, a children’s playground, and more.

“What excites me even more than just being able to say that we’ve done it is that it’s really a vision for collaboration of between continental Africans [and] wider global Black diasporans because there’s a lot that happens in a place like West Africa, Ghana specifically, that doesn’t require a huge amount of imagination.”
