Alaska Airlines has announced the launch of its inaugural nonstop flights to the Bahamas, departing from both Los Angeles and Seattle. The company also is expanding its Mexican service by adding flights.

Los Angeles to Nassau flights start at $169 round trip for a limited time, and Seattle to Nassau flights start at $199 round trip. One-way flights to Cabo San Lucas and Puerto Vallarta from Las Vegas start at $139.

The demand from vacationers, whether they’re taking a quick flight to a West Coast city or venturing halfway around the world, remains high. Many travelers are planning and reserving trips for the beginning of next year. With more 737-9s in service, Alaska Airlines ensures it can cover greater distances from Seattle to Nassau.

“We’re excited to add a ‘new dot’ to our route map and believe our guests will appreciate the convenience of nonstop service to the Bahamas this winter,” said Kirsten Amrine, Vice President of Revenue Management and Network Planning for Alaska Airlines. “Whether our guests choose to stay in Nassau, or venture to the outer islands, the pristine beaches and crystal clear waters of the Bahamas await.”

Brand New Flights to the Bahamas

The company’s first-ever visit to the Bahamas will be on one of Alaska Airlines’ new flights to the Caribbean island nation. The carrier will offer direct flights to the island resort off the coast of South Florida from Los Angeles and Seattle, two of the company’s West Coast hubs. The late afternoon arrival in Nassau is possible by the early morning departures from both Los Angeles and Seattle.

Nassau will be the 101 nonstop destination served by the company from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

Alaska Airlines also announced a new international route from Las Vegas to two of Mexico’s most popular West Coast destinations: Cabo San Lucas and Puerto Vallarta. Both flights leave Las Vegas late in the morning and arrive in midday. The company’s new seasonal flight between San Luis Obispo and Las Vegas, which also begins in mid-December. It will provide its passengers on California’s Central Coast with an easy connection to Mexico.
