Let’s be honest, we all love taking part in the latest Instagram-worthy activities and trends. Within the Black travel community, it often feels like many of those activities require a trip to another country.

What if we told you, we found a few that you can do without leaving the United States. If you want to create some new trendy social content, check out these 5 Instagrammable activities you can do without the need for a passport.

1. Hot Air Balloon Ride

By now, you’ve likely seen the stunning photos taken in Cappadocia, Turkey of the hot air balloons. It’s literally a dream.

If you’ve been itching to take a ride, we found one of the most popular companies in the country right in Florida. American Balloons, based in Florida’s Pasco County, offers rides and even post-ride brunch experiences.

We still can’t believe these exist within the US. Florida, specifically the Ocala area, is home to several hot springs reminiscent of Mexico’s cenotes.

The area sits on a line that pumps the warm spring water into bodies of water across the region. You can literally see the water being pushed in from the Earth. It’s really a sight to see. But, the crystal clear blue waters make for amazing Instagram photos.

If you get lucky, you may even spot a manatee swimming around.

3. Ziplining Through Canyons

Busch Gardens Tampa offers a safari experience complete with the opportunity to get up close and personal with the resident giraffes— if they’re in the mood.

If you don’t feel comfortable feeding them, you can admire them from the new giraffe bar as you sip on safari-themed cocktails and authentic African spirits.
