Natchez Trace Parkway - Mississippi, Alabama, and Tennessee
This parkway spans three states and 444 miles. The route follows the “Old Natchez Trace,” which is a historical travel route used originally by Native Americans and then European settlers. Start off in Natchez, Mississippi, and end in Nashville, Tennessee.

Now is the perfect time to travel, as you can see the peak colors from late October until early November. The parkway is also bike-friendly.
Rangeley Lakes Scenic Byway - Maine
Located in interior western Maine, this route is about 50 miles and near the borders of New Hampshire and Canada.

Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway - Oregon
Central Oregon’s Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway has 66 miles filled with views of lakes, trees, and the Cascade Mountains. Hop out of the car and hike in the Three Sisters Wilderness.
Blue Ridge Parkway - Virginia and North Carolina
This route travels through the Blue Ridge Mountains, starting in Virginia and ending in North Carolina. The length of the route is 469 miles, and has no billboards or businesses in sight. You’ll be driving through only nature.

Peak to Peak Scenic Byway - Colorado
With 55 miles of roadway, you’ll be able to see beautiful views of the Continental Divide. You’ll be less than an hour away from Boulder and Denver!
Check out Rocky Mountain National Park, Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests, and Golden Gate Canyon State Park.
