Delta just renewed its partnership with American Express until 2029 with an upgrade of all their cards. If you’re a Delta Skymiles American Express cardholder, you’re in luck because new perks will be added to the cards of new and existing cardholders.

The upgrades have been a year in the making and new cardholders will receive discounts on Global Entry as well as TSA Prechecks. If that wasn’t enough, the card upgrade also allows for bonus miles on grocery store purchases and full access to American Express Centurion Lounges.

Sandeep Dube, Senior Vice President of Engagement and Loyalty and Delta tells CN Traveler, “We asked them what they expect out of best-in-class cards for those who travel. Of course, not all travelers are made the same way, so our new cards are built to cater to specific kinds of travelers.”

One of the best features of the update is that there will no longer be foreign transaction fees. This means you can travel anywhere, swipe your card and not have to worry about being charged extra.

The upgraded features will go into effect on January 30, 2020.

Here are the features each card will offer:

Delta Skymiles Blue American Express Card

This card will have no foreign transaction fees and cardholders will be able to earn double points when dining at restaurants.

Delta Skymiles Gold American Express Card

The target market for this card is the young leisure traveler and the family that takes a big trip each year. The annual fee is $99 and includes double miles when dining in restaurants and grocery shopping.

If you hit your first $10,000 within a year, you’ll be rewarded with a $100 voucher towards a Delta flight.

Delta Skymiles Platinum American Express Card

You’ll receive the same perks of the Gold and Blue cards plus more. Cardholders will get triple miles on hotels and Delta purchases.

The only downside is the annual fee has increased from $195 to $250.

Delta Skymiles Reserve American Express Card

Reserve cardholders will have access to the American Express Centurion Lounges all around the world. They will also receive two Delta Sky Clube Lounge one-time guest passes annually.

Whenever upgrades are available, cardholders will receive complimentary access.

As with the Platinum card, the fee for Reserve cardholders has increased from $450 a year to $550.
