Kalvin Bridgewater’s wife, Eve Akins, inspired the idea for DSSC. She is a well-known Dallas doula who created a thriving community for young mothers. Her weekend gatherings allowed mothers to uplift each other, share experiences, and offer support. Seeing the positive impact of these meetings on his wife, Bridgewater realized the necessity for a similar space for dads, leading to the creation of DSSC.
