Frankfurt Airport travelers shuffling through the airport or waiting during a layover can now day party until their flight. The burgeoning event group behind the “darty” (aka daytime party) raves is Club Solaire. While the unique airport experience might be under the radar, their airport parties seem packed, lively, and filled with dancing.
A viral TikTok video with over 1.1 million views showed day-to-night partying. Even airport staff were seen grooving to the rave’s tunes.
What Should Travelers Know About Club Solaire’s Parties At Frankfurt Airport?
Blasting house and Afro-house music, the parties go anywhere from 3 p.m. to midnight on Terminal 2’s outdoor terrace. “Modern new music, new electronic music, African influences, techno influences—all of those genres combined are what we look for in our DJs,” a Club Solaire rep told Thrillist.
“A symbiosis of rhythmic basslines and the impressive backdrop of the airport that stimulates the senses and makes your pulse race,” detailed Resident Advisor regarding an upcoming Club Solaire event.
Depending on the rave, the day party welcomes those 18 and over. The focus is enjoyment and raving, so the space includes an outdoor bar and a dance floor. Attendees can only enter with flat-soled shoes—no high heels. They’re also not allowed to bring in their own food and drinks.
Partygoers don’t need plane tickets to gain entry. Going through airport security depends on whether they have a flight to catch.
A Club Solaire rave set for July 6 was rescheduled to the following day due to projected inclement weather. The event group specified that any tickets brought for the initial rave would be honored. The DJ lineup includes Meera, Abraham, Claudius, and STN.
The first event, held in May, reportedly attracted 800 airport partygoers. Tickets cost between $20 and $40.
