Visit one of the top Black-owned spas for Valentine’s Day and mend your broken heart with some self care. Spas offer a wide range of amenities, but there’s something special about visiting a black owned spa. The services and amenities on this list are just as diverse as the women who run these spas.

With backgrounds ranging from military to attending school in Paris, the story behind each spa is inspiring and uplifting in its own way. The passion they each have for their craft, whether it be massage, holistic healing, esthetician work or black skincare, there is one thing each of these owners has in common.

The one thing all of these women have in common is their emphasis and focus on the importance of self care. Caring for yourself, even if you don’t have a broken heart, can be something people often forget to do. Spas make it easy. Something as simple as drawing a bath for you to soak your bones. Or, a good deep tissue foot massage would do the trick.

Day passes and monthly memberships are becoming more popular with Black-owned spas for Valentine’s Day. You can pay to use the spa’s guest amenities daily or monthly. This usually consists of the sauna and tubs, as well as the use of robes and slippers. But, some of the blacked owned spas listed below will go above and beyond to care for your broken heart this Valentine’s Day. Think salt rooms and chromotherapy! (If we missed your state, see the list of 50 spas in 50 states.)
