Despite the numerous reports of tourists deaths in the Dominican Republic, Big Tigger says he has no plans of deserting the island.

For 12 years, radio/TV personality Big Tigger has hosted an annual 6 day, 5 night Memorial Day getaway in the Caribbean, the last six of which were in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. However, with all of the buzz around the mysterious deaths of travelers, many people are considering skipping the next event.

Under the photo, a concerned follower commented, “Y’all not doing it in DR next year, right?!?”

Big Tigger responded, “#ABSOLUTELY. Last year 2018, 21 people (visitors) died by July as compared to 8 this year. Media Attention got y’all scary. I been 6 years. #StillAlive.”

In short, Tigger has no intentions of moving his Memorial Day Weekend getaway.

Tigger’s proclamation comes on the heels of Steve Harvey’s announcement that he pulled annual ‘Sand & Soul’ festival out of the Dominican Republic.

This year, Lil Rel Howery, Donnell Rawlings, DJ Jazzy Jeff, B. Simone and Traci Steele were amongst those who attended Big Tigger’s MDW celebration.
