Uganda

Though many people visit this landlocked country in eastern Africa to see mountain gorillas in the wild (there are only 1,000 mountain gorillas left in the world), there is much more to this country than its unique wildlife. Also known as “Victoria Nyanza,” Lake Victoria is the largest lake in Africa and is commonly referred to as ‘The Pearl and Pride of Africa’. With beautiful views, many outdoor activities, and vibrant locals, a trip here will be a treasured and unforgettable experience.

Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe is truly a ‘world of wonders’.  Victoria Falls has the largest waterfalls in the world and is a sight to behold. Plus, you can go white water rafting down the Zambezi river if you are looking for a little more adventure. Since it can be very hot from October through January, you should plan on visiting during their winter time, when it is dry and mild—anywhere from June through September is ideal.

South Africa

From city life to adventure, wildlife to culture, breathtaking scenery to sun-soaked coasts, South African offers something for every type of traveler. South Africa is home to a cultural melting pot of over 55 million people of diverse cultures, religions, and languages. With over 1,600 miles of coastline shared between the Atlantic Ocean on the west and the Indian Ocean on the east, South Africa is a haven for surfers and those seeking refuge near the ocean. This beautiful country is also home to Table Mountain, that overlooks Cape Town and offers hiking and breathtaking views.
