Casa Malca sits on Tulum’s extremely popular beachfront.  Its views of the Caribbean Sea can be seen from almost every inch of the resort. On the property are three restaurants and in-house spa, Calma Spa.

However, one of the reasons Casa Malca is popular, aside from its overall luxury, is the history behind the hotel. Before being renamed in 2012, Casa Malca was one of Pablo Escobar’s mansions, but his only in Tulum. The mansion was abandoned for over a decade, and has become a trendy art-filled hotel that doubles as a historic landmark.
