Up in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains is a small town called Black Hawk. After driving the curvy, mountain roads, it is a surprise to see the tall casinos, come out of seemingly no where.

As though a hole was carved out of the mountain just for this town, hotel rooms as high as the 5th floor may have complete views of the interestingly carved out, red rock. Central City is just a mile or so away and is another tiny, quirky town that will take guests back to the cowboy days.

Black Hawk has a population of only about 127, but that doesn’t stop it from running some of the state’s most successful casinos. It has all of the same features as well. Poker rooms, slots, sports betting and, “high-limit table games with popular side bets, elevated service, and VIP treatment” are ready to play day and night at Ameristar Black Hawk, just like they are in Vegas.
