Good news for American travelers who are going to enjoy summer vacations in Europe. Uber, the popular ride-hailing app, is making a significant expansion across numerous captivating vacation spots in Greece, Italy, France, Spain and Croatia. This move comes as a response to the surging demand from travelers, as the company prepares for an impressive surge in visits from American tourists to Europe during the upcoming summer season.

Riders across the globe depend on Uber to embark on new journeys, the company says. According to Uber data, a staggering 15 percent of all Uber rides worldwide are designated for transportation to and from airports. During the summer season, a handful of airports experience a significant surge in popularity among travelers.

Uber also bets on Americans who have a penchant for combining Italy and France in their travel itineraries. They also tend to make a stop in Portugal before heading to Spain. It seems that Americans have a fondness for including the United Kingdom in their journeys en route to Greece or Croatia.
