Owner Trina Giles deems her establishment ‘The Ritz’ for grits. This Southern-style cafe opened in Las Vegas in 2008. You can fill up on breakfast favorites such as sweet potato waffles, grit bowls, and even fish and waffles.
Feed your mind at The Bookstore LV
This Black woman-owned bookstore offers everything from books, candles, and even sage. You will need to check on their social media pages for the location as they are currently transitioning to a new space and can be found at different pop-ups.
Touch up your mani and pedi at Nohea Nail
This nail salon is located at 9275 W Russell Road in Vegas. They offer vegan polishes and even offer specials for new clients.
Refuel with lunch
Whether you are vegan or have a taste for some chicken and waffles, you can find black-owned restaurants that offer both in Vegas. Ashanti’s Caribbean Kitchen offers some of the best vegan halal and organic options in the area. The owner is from the beautiful island of Antigua and brings homestyle Caribbean cuisine to her restaurant. Lo-Lo’s Chicken and Waffles was founded by Larry “Lo-Lo” White in 2012 after spending ten years perfecting his fried chicken recipe. You can now find this chicken and waffle joint in Arizona, Texas, and of course, Las Vegas.
Catch a movie at Eclipse Theater
This black-owned theater offers everything from new releases to indie supported films. It is an upscale movie theater that offers concierge-style service in its eight theater rooms. They also provide in-theater dining in addition to a bar and lounge. Check their website because they are always hosting other fun events too.

Chow down for dinner at TC’s BBQ Crib
This family owned and operated restaurant was established in 2004 and has roots from New Orleans. In staying true to their Southern roots, TC’s sets aside a day for “catfish fry day.” In addition to fried fish, you can find ribs that fall off the bone and all of the traditional southern sides.
