The Big Apple can be an overwhelming place to navigate, especially when you are short on time. Don’t worry, it’s still possible to get around and enjoy the city with only a few days to spare.
If you have plans to make your way to New York City, we want to provide a few tips to help you make the most of a short stay.
Stay in a central location
Of course, if you don’t get to go to NYC often you’ll most likely be interested in being a tourist. What better way to do that than by staying in the heart of Manhattan?
Hotels and accommodations can be pretty pricey in the heart of Times Square. If you want the NYC experience and feel without the cost, then staying a few blocks away instead can help tremendously.
The Martinique New York on Broadway, Curio Collection by Hilton, is only a 12-minute walk from the middle of Times Square and it is literally steps away from a subway station. When you walk out the door to the left you are also in Koreatown which is perfect for grabbing some of the best authentic Korean food in the country.
Another option would to try Airbnb. Homes in that area start as low as $75 per night which is great for those who may be solo or on a tight budget.
Check out one of the city’s newest IG worthy museums
Seeing as though NYC is one of the country’s hottest tourist hotspots, it usually brings some of the coolest pop-ups and IG worthy experiences around.
If you haven’t heard, they recently unveiled a permanent installation of the Museum of Ice Cream. This fun experience is all things ice cream and each room brings a different color scheme. You’ll want to coordinate your outfits for the Gram too.
For those who have seen teamLab Borderless in Tokyo, there is a similar experience in the Chelsea neighborhood. Artechouse is a permanent visual art museum in the boiler room of Chelsea Market. It is a dope experience that you won’t want to miss if you are in the city. There are also locations in Miami and D.C.
