1. Prague Castle
No trip to the Czech Republic is complete without a visit to Prague Castle. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is the largest ancient castle in the world according to the Guinness Book of World Records. The complex is a mix of palaces and ecclesiastical buildings and houses the Bohemian Crown Jewels in a secret room.
2. The Basilica of St Peter and St Paul
The Basilica of St Peter and St Paul features probably the most instagrammed doors in the entire country. This makes the neo-Gothic church, located within the Vyšehrad fortress in Prague, one of the most visited attractions.
3. The Dancing House
The Dancing House or Tančící dům is one of the more recent Czech landmarks. It was completed in 1996 by Frank Gehry. The building is an example of deconstructionist architecture and is also known as the Fred and Ginger because of its reference to iconic dancers Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers.
4. Charles Bridge
Charles Bridge is the oldest bridge in Prague and crosses the Vltava river. Construction started in 1357 and continued until the 15th century. The UNESCO World Heritage Site spans 1,692 feet and gets very busy quickly. Luckily, there are multiple adjacent spots to grab a good pic.
5. Petřín Hill
Petřín Hill is located in the center of Prague. This puts the elevated area in a prime position to offer panoramic views of the city. Take a funicular to the top to visit the Eiffel Tower-inspired Petřín Lookout Tower.
