Turks and Caicos is among the most popular archipelagos in the Caribbean. Of the eight major isles, six are inhabited.
There are many beautiful sites, but these four are especially lovely.
Grace Bay Beach
If you have the chance to sink your toes into the white sand, you’ll understand why its consistently rated as one of the top beaches in the world.
Many of the top resorts are here. There also are high end villas, like Coral House and Amazing Grace. The gentle, blue waters are clear enough to see the bottom. Whether you swim or decide to venture further out for scuba diving, you’ll love this stretch of paradise.
Princess Alexandra National Park
If you’re able to take photos underwater, this is the place in Turks and Caicos to do it. Snorkel along the Barrier Reef, which is filled with fish, coral and colorful sea fans. For paddleboarding and kayaking, check out Mangrove Cay. Snap pictures of iguanas in their natural habitat on Little Water Cay.
The park can get busy. To preserve the natural beauty as best as possible, it’s illegal to take seashells, corals or any other item. Loud music and vandalism are also prohibited.
West Harbor Bluff
This remote site in Providenciales also goes by Pirate’s Cove and Split Rock. Keep your camera handy for osprey and pelican sightings. The sea is home to starfish, small sharks and other marine life.
You can access the bluff by vehicle though the road can get rough in places. Taking a boat would be smoother, and for a fun way to explore the area, book a dune buggy tour.
Sunsets
According to Visit Turks and Caicos Islands, most of the best places to see sunsets are remote. Some examples of great places to visit are Bonefish Point and West Harbor Bluff in Providenciales, Pumpkin Bluff Beach on North Caicos and Cockburn Town Beach on Grand Turk.
