So, there’s a new airline on the scene that’s creating a buzz on social media. The question, for many, is whether Willa Air is really only for influencers only? The short answer is, kind of.
“Willa Air is the world’s first creator airline,” a spokesperson told Travel Noire.
It’s unclear how many trips the airline has taken so far, as the spokesperson did not respond to our request, but we can tell you there’s a chance to fly with the airline on April 15 to Coachella.
“[Creators have to] sign up to reserve your seat and be luckily chosen among all the creators,” the spokesperson added. “We will select 12 creators to fly with Willa for free.”

1. You Have To Apply To Fly

You have to apply for the chance to fly with Willa Air. Social creators who are at least 18 years of age are eligible to apply for the next trip with the airline to Coachella.
At the moment, Willa Air has not posted what they consider a social creator or what they’re looking for on the applicants’ background.
However, on the application, it appears that your Instagram URL is a requirement and TikTok is optional.
2. Where Is The Airline Flying?

The only information regarding trips at the moment is for the first weekend of Coachella.
According to the website, the flight will accommodate 12 Passengers free of charge.
The plane departs from Van Nuys for Palm Springs on Friday, April 15 at 10:00 am PST.
When you return from Coachella, you will leave from Palm Springs back to Van Nuys on Monday, April 18 same time.

3. What's Included & What's Not?

This experience will include a pre-flight champagne bar, a luxury breakfast at Willa’s exclusive lounge in Venice, and luxury black car service.
Once on the flight, Willa Air touts how passengers can enjoy “the perks of flying private—with no lines, no BS, and in-flight entertainment.”
CNBC reports that the experience will also come with a post-trip detox, including IV drips, massages and a juice bar.
Coachella festival tickets are not included.
4. How To Increase Your Chances For A Spot

Apparently, you can increase your chances of securing a spot.
The more payment requests you send leading up to April 8, the more you will increase your chances of getting a ticket to Willa Air, a statement on the website reads.
5. Deadline To Apply
Speaking of April 8, you only have until then to submit an application for this first trip to Coachella.
Those selected as passengers will be contacted via email by April 11, 2022.
