Brown Convention Center from November 2 – 6, 2026, Monday to Friday. This landmark year introduces expanded programming, including the new HealthStack experience for healthcare professionals and AI Edge training for builders. To make planning easier, AFROTECH™ continues to partner with Resiada, the conference's official housing provider. Get Away: Getting To and Around AFROTECH™ Conference 2026
By Air
AFROTECH™ Conference 2026 will be approximately 10 miles from William P. Hobby Airport and approximately 20 miles from George Bush Intercontinental Airport. From the airport, convenient taxi ride-share services, and car rentals are available to reach the event. For those preferring public transportation, METRO bus service offers routes from the airport to downtown Houston.

For those driving to AFROTECH™ 2026, The George R. Brown Convention Center is easily accessible from Houston's major highways. There are several parking garages and surface lots within walking distance of the venue as well, which is great to reach Houston restaurants throughout AFROTECH™ week. When staying downtown, visitors may find it easier to leave cars parked and explore the area on foot or by rideshare throughout the week.
By Public Transit
Houston's METRO system offers an affordable way to reach downtown, with local bus routes and the METRORail Green and Purple lines stopping at the George R. Brown Convention Center. The nearest bus stop is at Avenida De Las Americas and Dallas Street, which is a short walk from the main venue entrance. One-way fares start at just $1.25, making public transportation a convenient option for attendees staying outside the convention district.
