Atlanta is a melting pot of culturally authentic restaurants, especially when it comes to the Caribbean community. In Atlanta, you can enjoy Oxtails, Jerk Chicken, and more prepared by natives and chefs from Jamaica, St. Croix, and other Caribbean islands.

If you’re looking to enjoy some island cuisine, we’ve compiled a list of some of the best Caribbean restaurants in Metro Atlanta and surrounding areas.

Caribbean Delight

576 Lee St. SW

Atlanta, GA 30310

Caribbean Delights is known for the Caribbean vegetarian options on their menu. One Yelp user from the Caribbean said the food reminded her of home. Everything is served with peas, cabbage, and other vegetables.

Chef Rob’s Caribbean Café

5920 Roswell Rd.

Atlanta, GA 30328

Award-winning celebrity chef from Jamaica, Chef Robert Gayle, brought food from the islands to the city of Atlanta with his own signature jerk seasoning and four different flavors of roti. The restaurant has since expanded to a food truck hitting Metro Atlanta and is available for rental. The café is also available for parties, comedy shows, and other events.

Calabar & Grill Stone Mountain

Caribbean
From Left to Right: Salmon Taco, Jerk Chicken Taco with Shredded Cheese, Caribbean Pork Taco

The music here is just as good as the food. The Caribbean Pork (pictured far left) is sweet and spicy all at the same time. The Salmon taco was a perfect way to calm the spiciness of the pork taco right after. The Jerk Salmon was just the icing on the cake. I’m warning you now, the drinks are a bit strong, so pace yourself until you get your food.

Eat Right Caribbean Restaurant

Serving the city from two locations, Eat Right is located just 15 minutes outside the city. Dedicated to their community and catering to their customers, Eat Right held a customer appreciation celebration over the holiday weekend.

Festivals Jerk Chicken Grill

925 Garrett St STE L,

Atlanta, GA 30316

Festivals is slowly making a name for themselves serving an exceptional blend of American and Caribbean dishes, traditional and non-traditional like Bread pudding, and rum raisin ice cream. They promise to satisfy your hunger with their $5.99 daily lunch special, where they can make it as spicy as you like.

Foxx Original Jamaican Restaurant

378 Edgewood Ave SE

Atlanta, GA 30312

Curry Goat with yellow rice and cabbage is one of Foxx’s most requested meals, according to their Facebook page. Here you can enjoy a nice ambiance, chill vibes, and tender jerk chicken that keeps customers coming back every time.

Irie Mon Cafe

1800 Peachtree St NW Ste 103,

Atlanta, GA 30309

Don’t expect your normal chicken and waffles brunch here. It’s Ackee, saltfish, boil green bananas, yellow yam, and a bunch of other goodies when you dine at Irie Mon Cafe..

Jamrock Restaurant

111 Martin Luther King Jr Dr SW

Atlanta, GA 30303

People recommended the beef patties and rice and peas with oxtail gravy at Jamrock Restaurant. One customer said that every time he steps into the restaurant, something just takes over his soul and draws him to their flavorful authentic food.

Mangos

180 Auburn Ave NE.

Atlanta, GA 30303

Mangos is the perfect blend of entertainment, food, and Caribbean culture. They host weekly Caribbean Karaoke sessions, pop-ups in the local community, and at night the club comes alive. Rapper Kevin Gates and Former Mayor Kassim Reed are some of the most recent visitors.

Natty’s Jamaican & Soul Food Restaurant

680 Powder Springs St SW #108

Marietta, GA 30064

Netty’s is regarded as the best Caribbean restaurant in Marietta. They’re known for their fall off the bone oxtails and out of this world cabbage. Satisfy your sweet with their Pineapple Upside Down Cake. We heard it’s to die for.

Negril Village ATL

30 North Avenue NE

Atlanta, GA 30308

The Jerk Chicken N’ Waffles is my favorite dish from the brunch menu. The pineapple syrup gives a sweet taste to the spicy chicken. The plates are large and the food is filling.

Scotch Bonnet Jamaican Eatery

4454 Campbellton Rd SW

Atlanta, GA 30331

You know the food must be good when damn near the entire plate of Curry Chicken is gone. Their seafood is made fresh to order, so you may want to call ahead.

Spice House

2247 Cascade Rd SW

Atlanta, GA 30311

Get a taste of Haiti at this restaurant every Saturday and Sunday for brunch. I can only imagine the seasoning used on this fried Lobster Tail.

Sunshine Jamaican Restaurant

5998 Memorial Drive,

Stone Mountain, GA

Voted best in Atlanta twice, Sunshine’s offers a 1/2 lb of Jerk chicken for $5 and a large selection of Caribbean drinks and treats for even less.

Tastee Spoon (Inside Piedmont Mall Food Court)

4400 Ashford Dunwoody Rd NE Ste 1405

Atlanta, GA

My two favorite meals in one: The Jerk Salmon Pasta. It ended up being my lunch and dinner. It was too much to devour at once but too good to save for the next day.
