11 Black Private Chefs From The Deep South

By Chef Amanda Jackson

Share

The world of private chefs is tough, competitive, and constantly evolving. Black chefs are dramatically underrepresented in management and executive chef positions. As private chefs, the men and women on this list are executive chefs as well as entrepreneurs in an industry that is not at all welcoming or inclusive.  In order for black private chefs to succeed and thrive, we must celebrate and support them.

We’re on a mission to find the best of the best of black private chefs around the country, starting with the Deep South. These chefs are not only trained, but they are also culturally aware of food genres throughout the African Diaspora. The next time you’re in one of these cities, book a chef that understands your palette and also has the ability to execute amazing experiences for you and your guests.
