The city that never sleeps is always coming up with some interesting concepts. According to Time Out, a pop-up diner run by “Karens” will open in Manhattan’s West Village, though the exact location is a secret at this time.

It’ll launch in March and wrap up December 31, 2023.

The food will be good, but you can expect the staff to act entitled and rude. You know, just like a real Karen.

According to the website, “it’s an absurd, unique environment full of laughs, banter and top-notch American diner style grub! We pride ourselves on our terrible service, rated 1* by Karen herself! This is dining with a twist – the food is great, the service is ungrateful but your experience will be unforgettable.”

Consider a visit to Karen’s Diner if you plan to be in the Big Apple next year!

What Will Be On The Menu?

Fans of burgers and hot dogs might like it here.

The “I Want To See The Manager” burger consists of Wagyu patties, bacon, Swiss, lettuce, pickles and BBQ-mustard sauce.

Another is the “Basic Karen” with Wagyu beef, Swiss cheese, tomato, garlic mayo and beet root.

There’s something for vegans and vegetarians as well, like the “Trippy Karen” burger, which incorporates portobello mushrooms.

Time Out reports, “there are two types of hot dogs on offer, a variety of sides (halloumi fries with sweet chili sauce, loaded cheesy beef brisket, mozzarella sticks with sweet chili sauce and beer-battered onion rings, among other options) and a number of desserts, including a waffle bowl and a churro delight.”

Will there be alcohol to deal with the rudeness? Bet. Wine, beer and cocktails.

You can see the full menu here.

Can Kids Come?

Yes, but don’t expect the waitresses to be nice to them. Basically, anybody who walks through the door can get the smoke, but all in good fun.

According to the website, “we hate to see the selfish little stink-a**es coming through the doors, but yes, they’re allowed. Preferably before 5PM, and keep them under control. If one starts screeching, manage the noise or leave. Oh, and if you’re worried about us being nice to them you’re probably better off staying home.”

With all that said, there are rules in place so that things don’t get out of hand. See them listed here.

The Diner Is Already In Other Cities

Time Out reports that Karen’s Diner “already operates in fourteen cities across the United States, Australia and the United Kingdom.”

Photos and video footage promoting the diner show the staff dressed in 1950s style attire.

The decor also imitates the decade, including jukeboxes, records and more.

You can book tickets here. Please note they are non-refundable, but you may be able to reschedule your date.
