Summer is nearly here, but these seven exceptional destinations can be enjoyed all year round.

If you feel some lingering trepidation linked to the pandemic, you should know that the World Health Organization (WHO) announced earlier this month that COVID “is no longer a global health emergency,” according to CNN.

So, with that in mind, why not splurge a little on that once-in-a-lifetime trip? Whether you decide to fly solo, bring a friend, or take the family, check out the following destinations where luxury experiences are plentiful.

The Bahamas

This colorful archipelago consisting of 16 major islands, inlets and keys has long been a draw for tourists.

Firstly, it’s an accessible destination, with 20 international airports. It’s also possible to take a ferry from West Palm Beach or Fort Lauderdale, which is about two hours. Whether you choose to stay on one island or hop around, you’ll have a memorable time.

The city of Freeport on Grand Bahama Island offers accommodations at just about every price point. But if you really want to go all out, try Viva Wyndham Fortuna Beach Resort. Lastly, there are a number of Italian islands you might wish to explore as well. The most frequented are Sicily, Capri and Sardinia.

Seychelles Islands

If you and your honey want a luxurious getaway in a remote location (and we mean really remote), the Seychelles Islands fit the bill.

This archipelago has 115 islands. Portuguese explorer Vasco da Gama first encountered them in 1502, and their beauty has captivated visitors from across the globe ever since.

Bali, Indonesia

Whether you’re a carnivore, vegetarian or vegan, Balinese cuisine is not only tasty but also inclusive. And since these private villas are like sanctuaries in and of themselves, don’t be surprised if you have no inclination to venture beyond.

France

Paris is an enchanting and captivating city, with 5-star hotels like La Réserve or Shangri-La. French food might not be to everybody’s liking, but good luck resisting the desserts prominently displayed at the pâtisseries. And don’t forget the world-class museums, like the Louvre and the Musée d’Orsay.

Don’t sleep on the rest of France, though. The Cote d’Azur offers boardwalks, shops and restaurants, and of course, beaches. For a change of pace, head to northwest France to see Normandy. This region is filled with history, from medieval times all the way up to World War II.

There are also some beautiful manors and castles that date back centuries, and some are available to rent. You might have the chance to experience a taste of what life might have been like for French aristocracy, at least until the monarchy was destroyed.

Dubai, UAE

One of the most striking features of Dubai is that it doesn’t hide its wealth. It’s the kind of place you need to see to believe, with unique architecture, extensive nightlife, and diversity. The Culture Trip notes, “Approximately 85% of Dubai’s population are expats. This brings a level of cultural interaction that is rarely seen anywhere else in the world.”

If you’re looking for luxury accommodations that will exceed your expectations several times over, Burj Al Arab is for you. You’ve heard of 5-star hotels, but this is the only 7-star hotel in the world. There are 199 suites, all of which face the water, and you can expect to shell out thousands per night. For a spectacular culinary experience with a view, go to Al Muntaha, where French and Italian-inspired fare is served.

If the nightly price tag is too hefty, you can purchase a guest pass that grants you access to the pool and its facilities.

One external guest who visited for the day wrote that “there are several different packages available when you book a pool day pass at the Burj Al Arab” and explained that the Sunlounger pass granted her access to the freshwater pool, the salt-water infinity pool, the beach club restaurant and the changing rooms. Singapore

Singapore will impress you the moment you arrive at the airport. Changi Airport is like none other, and if you happen to have a layover here, there’s no shortage of exciting activities to keep you occupied, from shopping and dining to entertainment.
