Delta Air Lines is hitting Los Angeles Fashion Week with its first-ever fashion collection. In collaboration with multi-hyphenate artist Issa Rae, Delta is combatting the common discomforts of flying by equipping travelers with a line made for style and comfort created by small business designers across the country.

The apparel and accessories collection is designed for the “chic, adventurous, and well-traveled,” as described on the Delta Runway Collection website.

Delta and Rae each announced the partnership via Instagram. Created by travelers for travelers, the line includes clothing and accessories for men and women. The 15-second preview offers a sneak peek into the line of stylish sportswear, eyewear, footwear, and swimwear. The six designers behind the Delta Runway Collection were recently announced, and include:

  • Ana Mero (Ana Mero Swim)
  • Jarrett Raghnal & Timmy Campbell (Ember Niche)
  • Woodie White (Oyster)
  • Diana LoMonaco (Classic Six)
  • Steph Hon (Cadence)
  • Aaron Roubitchek & Joey Marquis (Ponto)

Limited-edition items will be available to shop when the collection drops on October 7th at L.A. Fashion Week.

LA Fashion Week’s 4-days of events highlight the intersections of fashion, beauty, tech, sustainability, and inclusion. Presented by N4XT Experiences, the schedule includes masterclasses, fireside chats, and panels alongside fashion presentations by innovative established and emerging brands. Led by the former Chief Creative Officer of FENTY, LAFW will include beauty, health, and wellness in the traditionally fashion-focused event.

The Delta Runway Collection is one of fourteen brands featured during the LAFW lineup. Collaboration appears to be this year’s unofficial running theme. Fashion brand AnOnlyChild by Maxwell Osborne is partnering with K18 Hair Biomimetic Hairscience while Fleur du Mal commemorates its 10th Anniversary in partnership with Too Faced.

Rae continues to use her star power to provide opportunities for rising creative professionals. Previously inking deals with brands like Google, AirBNB, and Audible, Delta is the latest to partner with the L.A. native.
