Boat lovers and beer drinkers — this is your time to shine and make some extra money.
Anheuser-Busch’s Long Island-based Blue Point Brewing Company is giving someone the opportunity to co-captain their party boat a.k.a. The Salty Bastard.
Part of your duties as a first mate includes activating and managing day trips, operating the grill, distributing beers, and of course, documenting it all on social media. According to the company, the ideal candidate should be over the age of 21, a beer enthusiast, and able to do a bit of heavy lifting. Bonus points for having served beer before or interest in a hospitality career.
The successful applicant would also need a flexible schedule. The Salty Bastard will be setting off on full-day sails for approximately 40 dates this summer — mainly on weekends — from Memorial Day Weekend through September.
With many travelers hoping to finally get out this summer, this might be the perfect opportunity to mix a summer job with some offshore fun.
“We’re very fortunate to have a 40’ double-decker pontoon boat that cruises the Great South Bay with beer and live music every summer weekend,” Senior Brand Manager, Noelle Witt told Travel Noire. “We want to share the good vibes with as many people as possible, but needed to enlist help to accomplish such lofty plans. We crafted the Salty Bastard Internship program to help new talent gain marketing and hospitality experience while taking on these uncharted waters of summer fun.”
As for the compensation, it is a generous hourly rate. Of course, you must be at least 21-years-old to sign up. Other recommended skills include: someone looking to pursue a career in hospitality and someone who is friendly and customer service oriented.
Apply now through April 15 on the website. Hurry, an internship like this doesn’t come around often. It’s literally a dream job!
