You can head to the Caribbean from various U.S. destinations for less than $200 round-trip, which is good news considering buying gifts during this holiday season can suck your funds dry.

If you are looking for a quick and cheap get-away, here are some Caribbean destinations for under $200:

New York City Area to Pointe-a-Pitre, Guadeloupe

Pointe-a-Pitre is a city in Guadeloupe known for its lively markets, where fishers sell their catch from their boats straight out the harbor.

After a trip to the markets, make sure to have the aquarium on your to-do-list. Rated as one of the best aquariums, Aquarium de la Guadeloupe showcases the region’s abundant marine life. The snorkeling tours are popular with children and adults alike.

Norwegian Air International has a nonstop flight for $158 round-trip, according to Google Flights from Jan. 26 to Feb. 2.

 

Atlanta to San Juan, Puerto Rico

San Juan, the capital of Puerto Rico, remains one of the top destinations in the Caribbean. During your visit, you have a lot of options that will keep you entertained.

San Juan is home to a few UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including the forts of San Cristóbal, San Felipe del Morro, San Juan de la Cruz (El Cañuelo) and the city walls.

Also, there are museums for all ages, beaches, shopping, and more that you can enjoy during your visit.

Spirit Airlines has a flight for $186 round-trip, according to Google Flights from Jan. 13 to Jan. 19.

Chicago to Cancun, Mexico

 Cancun is known for its beaches, resorts, food, and nightlife.

Top activities for tourists include reef and shipwreck snorkeling, day trips to Chichen Itza, ziplining, and jungle tours.

A few options are leaving the Chicago area that will have you in Cancun for under $200 round-trip.   The cheapest flight is through Spirit Airlines for $170 round-trip. This flight, however, doesn’t include overhead bin access and requires an extra fee.

For a few more dollars, both United and American Airlines have flight options for $194 round-trip.

Travel dates used in Google Flights were Feb. 25 through Mar. 6.

From Los Angeles to Cancun, Mexico

Like Chicago, a few flights are leaving Los Angeles to Cancun. The cheapest option is priced at $249 for a nonstop, round-trip flight, according to Google Flights.
