No matter where you live, you have more than likely seen someone cruising through the city in a 3-wheeled Polaris Slingshot. This futuristic, straight-out-of-Batman looking vehicle definitely turns heads, no matter who is behind the wheel.
Now, you can level up your beach vacation by renting one of these road machines for as low as $50. Slingshot Adventures (413 Virginia Beach Blvd.) in Virginia Beach offers beach goers the chance to cruise for just $50 per hour plus a $50 insurance fee.
“It’s kind of like a go-cart, but it goes as fast as a car,” Norfolk resident Michael Jacobs said in a statement. Jacobs rented one this week during a visit to the beach.
To rent, you must be at least 25-years old with a valid driver’s license. You will be required to watch a brief safety video as well. All drivers are provided with a sanitized helmet that must be worn while riding.
While one hour is only $50, you can also opt to keep the vehicle for 24-hours for $299 (plus insurance fee).
“This is something you can do by yourself or with one other person,” Dwayne Brown, owner of Slingshot Adventures said. “It allows adults to be able to get out and enjoy themselves.”
