Known as one of the fashion capitals in the world, NYC is filled with some of the dopest boutiques. The city is home to quite a few Black-owned boutiques as well, which is always a win.

According to NYC.gov, only 2% of NYC businesses are owned by Black people even though more than 20% of New Yorkers are Black.

Sincerely Tommy

Located in the Bed-Stuy neighborhood of Brooklyn, Sincerely Tommy is a retail concept store “focusing on emerging womenswear, lifestyle brands & community.” The boutique also has an in-house coffee bar.

Founder Kai Avent-deLeon is Brooklyn-born and bred. She started the boutique in 2014 at the age of 26.

Marche Rue Dix

A Crown Heights staple, Marche Rue Dix is a cultural concept store and nail salon. Cafe Marche Rue Dix, located next door, is a French-Senegalese restaurant.

Nigerian designer Busayo founded the brand to communicate the power of color through clothing. The fabrics and styles are representative of Busayo’s Nigerian upbringing and heritage.

This Brooklyn-based boutique is filled with antiques and vintage pieces. Blk Mkt Vintage is founded and curated by Jannah Handy and Kiyanna Steward.
