A new Spain-and-sports-themed amusement park recently opened in Dubai. Read Madrid World, the world’s first theme park centered around sports team home to Madrid, Spain. It opened on April 9 at Dubai Parks and Resorts.

The amusement park specifically highlights football and basketball “the Real Madrid way,” according to an April press release.

Dubai Parks™ and Resorts, the world’s largest theme park destination, is home to the amusement park. There, Real Madrid World features dozens of Madrid-themed experiences and attractions. The plan is to allow guests to experience their Spanish sports heroes up close.

Visitors can explore locker rooms, see the teams’ trophies, experience thrill rides, and more. Record-breaking attractions inlcude the region’s first wooden roller coaster, Hala Madrid Coaster; and the tallest amusement ride in the world, the Stars Flyer.

“The world’s first and only Real Madrid-theme park celebrates the world’s love for sports and theme parks, presenting a unique adventure that has never been done before. Real Madrid World will showcase the winning spirit of Real Madrid, embodying the deep passion that brings the club to life,” Fernando Eiroa, Dubai Holding Entertainment’s CEO, said about the park’s opening.

What To Expect

Fans can shop at official Real Madrid retail outlets. There, they can get personalized team swag and dine at Spanish-inspired restaurants within the park.

Real Madrid World offers over 40 new themed attractions, including White Hearts, an exhibition that showcases the past, present and future of the team; a “theatrical interpretation” called Benabeu Experience; a family roller coaster The Wave – La Ola, a playground, and more than 15 daily shows.

A one-day entry ticket starts at AED 295, around $80, and can be purchased online or at the gate. The park is said to be a one-of-a-kind destination that offers a unique experience.
