Jamie Foxx has done it all. From a successful acting and musical career that has landed him Grammy, Academy, and Golden Globe Awards – to now becoming one of the latest Black spirit brand owners.

From blaming it to now owning it. Yes, Foxx has entered the whiskey business and is now the proud owner of Brown Sugar Bourbon (BSB).

As owner, Foxx will spearhead the creative direction and lend his entrepreneurial spirit to help expand the brand, according to a news release.

“I’ve always lived by the rule that life is short, and you need to go out and do what you want to do,” said Foxx in a statement. “Owning a brand that brings sweet life to the party has always been a goal and with BSB we’re making it happen.”

“We are extremely fortunate that Jamie was introduced to our brand at one of his legendary parties,” Sean M. Penn, CEO of BSB Spirits, added. “I have no doubt that Jamie will lead BSB to new heights. We can think of no better creative force than Jamie, and we look forward to watching him introduce BSB to the world.”
