First Black Owned Restaurant Week Held in Washington DC
More than 30-black-owned restaurants, bars, and food trucks came together to celebrate black culinary excellence this past weekend for the first Black Restaurant Week in the Washington DC area.
The Inaugural DMV Black Restaurant Week was held from Nov. 4 to Nov. 11.
A statement on the DMV Black Restaurant Week website reads:
“The week not only promotes restaurants, with your help we desire to go further to recognize existing restaurants and close the gap that exists in knowledge by hosting a conference and panel discussion.”
Yall know the only thing we love more than the main event, is the after-party! 🙌🏾 Join us for a thank you and wrap-up celebration of #DMVbrw. everything. Enjoy great food and cocktails… https://t.co/xovsjAJdSr
