A woman’s argument with two flight attendants over her seat in an exit row caused a whole plane of Frontier passengers to be deplaned.
On May 9, a TikTok user named Tia (@travelwithtia23) posted her documentation of the problematic passenger. The video showed a woman in the aisle seat of an exit row separately giving two flight attendants a difficult time. Based on the video, the point of contention between the woman and the cabin crew was seemingly her lack of explicitly agreeing to perform the responsibilities of those in exit row seats.
As the video escalated, the woman claimed she had already acknowledged and agreed to her exit row responsibilities. Regardless of what she did or didn’t say, her back-and-forth with the flight attendants didn’t bode well. The captain got on the overhead speaker and said the flight was delayed because law enforcement had to remove her from the plane. By that point, the heated woman claimed to be on the phone with her attorney.
Later footage showed that everyone on the flight had to deboard, to their irritation. Tia also showed the argumentative woman escorted off the plane in handcuffs. The location the TikToker tagged for the video was Charlotte Douglas International Airport.
Why Was The Woman Removed From The Frontier Flight?
In a follow-up video, Tia claimed the disgruntled passenger was removed from the flight because of their “attitude.” The TikToker alleged that the woman called a Black flight attendant the N-word. Footage from the incident showed the aggravated woman telling the other stewardess to “get out of [her] face.”
In a “story time” of the incident, Tia claimed the woman said, “Oh, I’m not going to save anybody. If something happens, I’m going to save myself first.”
“She got put off of the flight because of her attitude, not because she wasn’t going to comply with the exit row seating,” Tia said in a late May post. “Even though she did say jokingly before the flight attendants got to her that she would save herself… Once the pilot got involved, once the police got involved, it was a wrap for her.”
