Black founded Salamander Resort & Spa now manages resorts in Jamaica and Anguilla. The luxury resort has expanded their efforts globally. Now that travel is back on the agenda, Black travelers couldn’t be more excited to visit one of the six resorts offered through their website. With four of those locations in the U.S., Anguilla and Jamaica have been added to the list of getaways available through the Black founded Salamander Resorts.

BET’s co-founder, Sheila Johnson is also the founder and CEO of Salamander Resort & Spa. The luxury retreat was rewarded a Five-Star Rating by the Forbes Travel Guide in 2019. At the end of the same year, Half Moon Bay closed a deal with the resort’s Board of Directors to manage their stunning Jamaica property.

Less than a month ago, Salamander Resort & Spa began its management of Aurora Anguilla Resort & Golf Club. According to PR Newswire, “With an extensive knowledge of resort repositioning, Salamander will assume management of Aurora Anguilla on April 26. The company was founded by noted businesswoman and entrepreneur Sheila Johnson, who, like Schulze, has a deep commitment to the island of Anguilla where she owned a home for over a decade.”

Pristine beaches and outstanding service are already being noticed at Aurora Anguilla Resort & Golf Club. Get a Sun Salutation body wrap and enjoy views of Rendezvous Bay at the resort’s, Sorano Spa. Kite surfing, cave tours, snorkeling and guided hikes are some of the top activities at the breathtaking resort. Then, take time to sink a hole-in-one at the island’s only golf course. “Aurora International Golf Club provides an intimate, extraordinary escape from sunrise to sunset.”

There are several room options including beachfront suites, villas and an oceanfront suite with a private jacuzzi. Along with the plethora of activities and accommodations, are seven bars and restaurants. Aurora Anguilla Resort & Golf Club‘s restaurants, “range from casual to the exquisite, featuring locally-inspired flavors—chef-curated and ethically sourced.” Spend a week or more here, soaking up the sun and amenities.

Half Moon, Jamaican Luxury Hotel is also a Forbes rated 5-star resort. One of the reasons is it’s unique and attractive amenities. First, the sprawling resort is set in the beautiful Half Moon Bay. It was given this name because the beach is crescent-shaped, giving plenty of protection for water-sports. Equally important, are the interesting activities that are offered on property. Take the resort horses on a bareback ride through the ocean’s waves. Indulge in sailing lessons, or PEDI certification. Snorkeling, parasailing and standup paddleboarding are also available.

Alternatively, arrange a tour to the Blue Mountains or the bucolic hillside villages to learn about coffee or organic farming. There are several restaurants on property as well. The options for accommodations on this property are almost endless. There are beachfront rooms right on the main property to seven-bedroom villas throughout the resort property. All accommodations have access to over two miles of private beaches. Create the perfect Jamaican vacation at Half Moon.

The ability to expect the same spark of service and extravagance throughout these resorts is attention- grabbing. Knowing that the management is part of the Black community just makes it all the sweeter. So, when looking for a new travel destination, try any of the six locations now offered through Salamander Resort & Spa. Then, expect to be treated to true vacation bliss.
