In just over a month, travelers will be introduced to an exclusive upscale retreat experience on Royal Caribbean’s overwater cabanas during a stop in the Bahamas, the first of its kind.
Soak up the ocean view from any direction on a floating cabana at the new Coco Beach Club on Perfect Day at CocoCay, the cruise line’s private island destination. According to Travel and Leisure, it will “make your trip to the Bahamas even better.” The club is available for booking now for up to 450 guests. Floating cabanas are available for $999 each, and feature an overwater hammock for two, concierge service, and a slide that goes right into the blue ocean water.
Beach Cabanas are also available starting at $699 for up to eight guests. But the clubhouse is the sweetest part. Visitors will have access to an oceanfront infinity pool, a complimentary restaurant, along with other luxury amenities and service at this 2,600 square foot property.
Guests can choose from 24 various itineraries with Royal Caribbean, ranging between $181- $2,199 per person for a nine to 11-day cruise. Take in the breathtaking view of the ocean from your handpicked stateroom for $641/per person. Guests must have an itinerary for the Perfect Day at CocoCay in order to book a stay at the Coco Beach Club.
Adults can also cool down with a cocktail at the Oasis Lagoon, while children can have fun at the Thrill Waterpark for some adrenaline. Chill Island is great for couples and families with romantic and adventurous activities and Caribbean-style food for everyone.
Floating cabanas have been popping up at other resorts in the Caribbean, the Maldives, Antigua, and Europe. Since the devastation of Hurricane Dorian ripped through Abaco Island and part of Grand Bahama in September, officials have been urging travelers to visit the island. The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism began championing tourists to visit the Bahamas in efforts to help them rebuild through donations or providing work opportunities.
Day passes are available for adults for $54 and $34 children. Each gives you access to the exclusive private beach, the clubhouse infinity pool and complimentary dining at the Coco Beach Club restaurant. Look out for more information on the Royal Caribbean website.
