With Zimbabwe recently reopening its borders to tourists, luxury resort Matetsi Victoria Falls has introduced a new concept designed to help you stay safe during your stay from takeoff to touchdown.

As a part of the resort’s “safari bubble” concept through the resort’s exclusive buyout program, guests can fly commercially into Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport before boarding a private charter aircraft that will land directly into the Matetsi Private Game Reserve.

The aircrafts vary in size that can accommodate groups both big and small.

Guests can also fly privately into Victoria Falls International Airport before jumping on the scenic Flight of Angels helicopter experience.

Alternatively,  resort guests can fly privately into Victoria Falls International Airport and then hop on the scenic helicopter flight experience where you will fly across the reserve, with the opportunity to see wildlife from the air, and down the Zambezi River towards the mighty Victoria Falls.

Once you arrive at the lodge, guests will have access to the 136,000 acres of wilderness.  To keep guests in their “safari bubbles,” they have to choose between using the lodge in full or part.

Matetsi is a family-owned and independently-run luxury safari lodge situated on the banks of the Zambezi river.

The resort comprises two camps, and guests who choose part exclusive use of the resort will have access to seven rooms, with one family room, accommodating up to 14 adult guests. This will also include access to the West Camp’s main guest area, three private vehicles, and more.

Buyouts are available on a nightly or weekly basis. Rates for Matetsi Victoria Falls’ part exclusive use option starts from $9,500 in 2020 and $11,000 in 2021. The full exclusive buyout starts from $22,000 in 2020 or $25,000 in 2021.
